The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians in partnership with the Florence
City Chamber of Commerce present the 2026 Logo Contest Rules. This year’s theme highlights the
language of the first peoples of flants (Florence) in their traditional language of sha’yuushtɬ’a uɬ
quuiich. The theme is təmuu hiisəch hai (a gathering with a good heart).

Submit your design by November 30, 2025 for consideration!
Please keep in mind the following rules and regulations before submitting:
DESIGN GUIDELINES
- Logos must incorporate the Rhododendron flower, an element representative of Florence
(example: Heceta Head Lighthouse, Siuslaw Bridge, etc.,), and the text “təmuu hiisəch hai
(a gathering with a good heart)”, and “Rhododendron Festival” - Designs may incorporate unlimited colors.
- Artists may submit multiple designs, but they must be submitted as separate entries.
- Selected artist must be able and willing to make changes to the design, as directed by the
Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians in conjunction with the
Florence Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS
- Submissions should be original work. If any digital or AI images are used, you must read
the commercial use terms for the software you are using, Assuring that those terms give
you, the logo creator commercial use rights. By submitting a design, you are guaranteeing
that you hold rights to every image layer in your logo design. That no layers or elements of
submitted logo, in part or in entirety, contain any copyrighted material. Be clear and
identifiable at small sizes (e.g. 1.5” custom buttons) - Provide a clear silhouette that can be rendered in multiple colors, black and white, and gray
tones. - Submissions must be submitted in pdf, jpg, or gif format only; however please be prepared
to provide high resolution/vector graphic versions of your work. - Submissions may not exceed 5 MB. We will ask the selected artist for a high resolution
original file.
SUBMISSION AGREEMENT
- The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians and the Florence Area
Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to make any adjustments deemed necessary to
the winning design. - Florence Area Chamber of Commerce will have all rights to the winning design.
- By submitting an entry, you agree that if your design wins, it can be used by Florence Area
Chamber of Commerce on all Rhododendron Festival promotional materials, including but
not limited to the event apparel, commemorative pins and posters. You also agree that your
design can be published in an edition of The Voice of CLUSI tribal paper along with your
name. - All submissions must be emailed with the following information to be considered
eligible: Full Name, Address, E-mail, Phone Number and Date of Birth. - The grand prize winner will receive a cash prize of $250 and two tickets to the carnival. They
will also earn mention in community wide publicity, online posts at florencechamber.com,
and press releases related to the festival. Winner will also receive a gift basket, Ocean
Dunes Golf Links and Three Rivers Casino Resort gift certificates from the Confederated
Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians. - By submitting and entering the contest, you are agreeing to all contest rule and are attesting
to the originality of your design.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Any submitted idea, documentation, photograph or design entered in this contest will remain the
exclusive property of Florence Area Chamber of Commerce and Entrant agrees that Florence Area
Chamber of Commerce shall have the perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable right to edit, publish and
use these materials in any way and in any and all media now or hereafter known for trade,
advertising, promotional and/or other purposes as Florence Area Chamber of Commerce may
determine in its sole discretion without further consideration to Entrant or winner.
The Entrant agrees to assign all rights, title and interest into the submission, including copyright, to
the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce and waives his/her legal rights in the submission.
AUTHORIZATION TO USE WINNER’S NAME
By submitting a design and accepting the contest prize, the winning Entrant permits the Florence
Area Chamber of Commerce to make public and otherwise use the winner’s name, biographical
information, city of residence, and submitted work without further compensation in any media now
known or hereafter developed for promotional and/or publicity purposes, unless prohibited by law.
SELECTION
A panel of judges will determine the concept, which will be announced the first part of February.
