Proposed Code Amendment Ch 2-14 Peacegiving Court

The following proposed Code establishment draft was passed for First Reading by Tribal Council on January 11, 2026

TITLE: 2 RULES OF PROCEEDURES

Chapter 2-14 Peacegiving  Court    

The Tribal Council has approved recommendations submitted by the  Court, who worked through Peacegivers  who have approved suggested amendments to several sections of the Code These include; to better define areas of definition, roles and responsibilities and access to the Court process; to include ‘restoration in values as well as formatting and clerical changes.

Tribal Council hereby approved the amendments to this Code for First Reading and posting for a twenty-eight (28) day period.

DATE OF THE TRIBAL COUNCIL MEETING AT WHICH THE PROPOSED CODE IS EXPECTED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR FINAL PASSAGE:

April 12, 2026

The notice of the proposed amendment/creation of Code/Ordinance shall be published in the Tribal Newsletter and the text will be posted for public comment for twenty-eight (28) days in the Administration Building, Tribal Hall, Outreach Offices, on the Tribes’ website and at Three Rivers Casino (Office of the Gaming Commission).  Written comments should be sent to the Tribal Council in care of Jeannie Miller, CTCLUSI, 1245 Fulton Avenue, Coos Bay OR 97420 or email:  jmiller@ctclusi.org.


Request for Quote (RFQ) – Early Literacy Program Coordinator

The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians (CTCLUSI) is seeking quotes for qualified individuals or firms to provide services as an Early Literacy Program Coordinator, either virtually or in-person. This contract seeks to provide resources for families and broaden the reach of literacy-focused activities, developmental evaluations, and culturally grounded practices for Tribal families whose children fall between infancy and 8 years old. This is for a limited-duration grant-funded contract with a projected end date of June 30, 2027.

Request For Quote (RFQ) – K-12 Education Tutor proficiency in Math and Science

The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians (CTCLUSI) is seeking quotes for qualified tutors to work with youth and shall provide academic tutoring and instructional support services in person and remotely. Instructional services may support students ranging from middle school through adult learners, depending on the program needs and student participation.

Request for Proposal for Quote (RFQ) – Early Literacy Advocate

The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians (CTCLUSI) is seeking quotes for qualified individuals or firms to provide services as a Home Visiting Professional who can oversee a home visitation component within the Birth to Five Early Literacy program, either virtually or in-person. This contract seeks to broaden the reach of literacy-focused activities, developmental evaluations, and culturally grounded practices for Tribal families whose children fall between infancy and 5 years old. While the present funding timeframe concludes on June 30, 2027, additional support is anticipated from the 2027-2029 biennium, which is expected to facilitate continued operation beyond that deadline.
