Camp hoohoolii Returns This Spring!

Camp hoohoolii Returns This Spring!

by Morgan Gaines / Thursday, 22 January 2026 / Published in Public Notices, Tribal Event, Tribal News

March 23rd–27th, 2026 at Camp Cleawox

The Department of Culture and Natural Resources is excited to announce the return of Camp hoohoolii. Camp hoohoolii is the Tribes Spring Break overnight camp. This Camp is open to Tribal youth, youth in Tribal households, and youth of CTCLUSI staff, ages 8–18. Camp hoohoolii is a time to learn, grow, connect, and most of all have fun.

The word hoohoolii means reflections on water, a fitting theme as we reflect on the growth of our youth.  Each spring, camp gives us a meaningful opportunity to nurture that growth while passing on the teachings, traditions, and cultural practices that strengthen our Tribal community. As our young people continue to grow, they reflect the resilience, strength, and unity of our Tribe.

By gathering each year, we create a positive pattern of growth, learning, and belonging. Camp hoohoolii is an investment in our future and a celebration of who we are as a people.

We look forward to seeing our youth come together once again this spring.
