The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians Community Calendar 2027
We are excited to invite community members to submit photos for our upcoming Tribal calendar!
2027 Calendar Themes:
“Our Homeland Through the Seasons” – Local landscapes or floral photographed
throughout the year…
“Where the Forest Meets the Sea” – Pacific Northwest imagery: cedar, fog, tide flats,
salmon, mountains, canoes..
We are looking for photographs that reflect the beauty, strength, culture, traditions, and
everyday life of our community. Photos may include canoes, canoe journey, harvesting, art,
regalia, landscapes, cultural events, water, wildlife, or meaningful community moments.
*Photos that include faces must be submitted with the express written permission of the
individual(s) or parent/guardian of youth photographed, that their likeness can be used for
publication in a Tribal calendar.
Submission Guidelines:
- Submit high-resolution JPG or PNG images (please limit your submission to 3 images
maximum) - Minimum 2000 pixels on the longest side preferred
- Photos should be clear, original, and minimally edited
- No watermarks, filters, or added text
- No AI
- Please include:
- Photographer’s name
- Photo title or short description
- Date/location (if known)
Submission Deadline: September 11, 2026 by 5:00 p.m. pst

How will photographs be selected?
All photo submissions will be reviewed and selected by the CTCLUSI Tribal Council. To
ensure a fair and unbiased process, panel members will not know the identities of
photographers during the selection process.
Please note:
By submitting photos, you grant permission for images to be used in the Tribal calendar and
related promotional materials. Photographers will be credited whenever possible.
We encourage photos that honor our people, lands, waters, traditions, and future generations. We look forward to seeing our community through your eyes.
What happens if there are not enough photo submissions?
If an insufficient number of community photo submissions are received to fill the calendar,
additional photographs submitted by Tribal staff may be used to complete the remaining
calendar months.
