    Many startup companies lack the resources and experience needed to launch a business. Business incubators can provide services which helps them get through the initial hurdles in starting up a business. These hurdles include a work space, office equipment and administrative services along with entrepreneurial training, assistance in business plan preparation, business related workshops and other prerequisites to running their business.

    CTCLUSI Small Business Incubator Lab provides:
    • Shared office space, equipment, high-speed Internet and administrative services.
    • Shared workshop space for production.
    • Assistance with business basics: research, business plan preparation, entrepreneurial training, business etiquette and presentation skills.
    • Links to specialized education resources and business training programs such as accounting and financial management.
    • Help with obtaining specific business certification and regulatory compliance.
    • Networking activities; links to strategic partners.
    • Management team identification, advisory boards and mentors.
    • Product and services commercialization assistance.


    The Incubation Process
    Entrepreneurs who wish to enter CTCLSUI’s Small Business Incubation program must apply for admission. Acceptance criteria is for those with feasible business ideas and a workable business plan.

    Off-Site Support
    We also serve affiliate or virtual clients. These start-ups do not reside in the business incubator facility. They can be home-based businesses or early stage companies that have their own premises and would not benefit from residing in the business incubator facility. Affiliate or virtual clients, who may be too remote to participate on site in the business incubator facility, can still receive counseling and other assistance via video conferencing and online training.

    Online Training offered through the Oregon Native Enterprise, the ONE Coalition ONE Coalition Full Course Overview
    The ONE Coalition is a full year of business skills training programs that are delivered online as video, in a story driven format by current Native American small business entrepreneurs. This story driven narrative of teaching business skills ensures Oregon Native Americans have access to business development programming, Start Up Oregon.     Access to Business Skills training classes throughout Oregon
    The Small Business Incubator Lab will help underwrite enrollment costs for taking a business skills training class at any of the 19 different SBA’s Small Business Development Centers located across Oregon. Each SBDC is backed by a statewide network of support, giving you the full resources of Oregon’s largest business assistance provider wherever you are. To find business skills classes offered in your area, log on to Biz Center to find the location and class that you want to take, then contact the Small Business Incubator Manager to get you enrolled.

    To give the entrepreneur, start-up and early stage businesses the tools and advantages that ultimately result in them becoming successful business in their community.
